Giants WR Malik Nabers (concussion) will not practice on Thursday, HC Brian Daboll said. The rookie is now a long shot to be cleared in time for Sunday's game vs. the Seahawks, a sentiment echoed by ESPN's Jordan Raanan.
2024 Fantasy Football Impact
Nabers' absence would remove:
- 36% of the Giants' targets
- 38% of the catches
- 46% of the receiving yards
- 75% of the receiving TDs
That clearly leaves a lot of opportunity behind for New York's other pass-catchers, although we'll likely see the Giants' total offensive pie shrink considerably sans Nabers.
It's tough to image WR Wan'Dale Robinson adding much to the 9.5 targets per game he's already averaging, but Nabers' absence certainly wouldn't hurt.
WR Jalin Hyatt would figure to soak up most of Nabers' snaps but would be a desperation fantasy play. WR Darius Slayton is a slightly safer bet but still not very attractive.
