Browns QB Deshaun Watson remained unwatchable in a Week 5 loss to Washington. The former Texan threw for only 125 yards and 1 TD on 15-of-28 passing.
"We're not changing quarterbacks," HC Kevin Stefanski told reporters after the blowout loss. "We need to play better. I need to coach better. And that's really what it is."
Watson's lone score came on a fourth-quarter pass to TE Jordan Akins. Earlier, Jerry Jeudy dropped a well-thrown end zone ball.
Still, this was another disastrous day for Watson, who continued to struggle with decision-making and accuracy. He also showed a lack of awareness in the pocket on a sack fumble.
Washington looked like one of the better matchups on the schedule – particularly with David Njoku back in the lineup. Following the dud, Watson will be tough to trust next week at Philly.
