The Giants pulled QB Daniel Jones for the fourth quarter of Sunday's lopsided loss to the Eagles. He completed 14 of 21 passes for just 99 yards while taking 7 sacks before that departure. Drew Lock entered to go 3-for-8 with 6 yards passing.
2024 Fantasy Football Impact
Drew Lock might be the thing working most in Daniel Jones' favor. When your other option also stinks at playing QB, it's easier to keep rolling with the lackluster starter.
Jones has oddly produced much better on the road than at home this year. He has averaged just 11.0 fantasy points across four home games, including duds now vs. soft pass defenses from Cincinnati and Philadelphia.
His three road games (Washington, Cleveland, Seattle), meanwhile, have produced 22.2 points per game. Jones has scored more than 20 points in each of those contests (depending on your scoring).
If Jones can manage another 20+ point outing in Week 8 at Pittsburgh, then it'll be time to start wondering why he only uses PEDs when he travels.
Don't expect to find him anywhere near the top 12 in our Week 8 QB rankings, though.
If Jones can survive that game and remember how to throw a TD pass at home, though, he'll find the fifth-most favorable QB Schedule from Week 9 on.
Perhaps he can help some superflex lineups during that span.
