The league has suspended Lions WR Jameson Williams two games for violating the performance-enhancing substances policy, according to ESPN's Eric Woodyard.
Williams (via Woodyard): "No choice but to take it on the chin. I'm in good spirits, just ready to get back with my brothers as soon as possible."
It doesn't sound like Williams will be contesting the suspension, which will knock him out for a Week 8 home date with the Titans and Week 9 visit to Green Bay.
That'll elevate the roles of WRs Tim Patrick and Kalif Raymond. It could also boost the target share for TE Sam LaPorta, who has logged just 1 reception in two straight games.
