Bucs WR Mike Evans is expected to miss the next three games with his hamstring injury, HC Todd Bowles said. Tampa Bay gets the Falcons, Chiefs, and 49ers the next three weeks before a Week 11 bye. It sounds like Evans has a good chance to be back for Week 12.
2024 Fantasy Football Impact
Evans is worth keeping stashed in all fantasy leagues. If he can put the hamstring injury behind him, he could be a target monster down the stretch with WR Chris Godwin out.
Evans and Godwin's absences leave the Bucs without 46% of their targets -- or 15.3 targets per game. We're expecting the Bucs to scale back their pass rate a bit going forward, but there's still lots of opportunity here.
Rookie Jalen McMillan is the most intriguing WR. He has inside/outside versatility, so he can help replace Evans and Godwin's work. WRs Trey Palmer and Sterling Shepard also find more opportunity. Palmer is the preferred waiver-wire add among those two.
TE Cade Otton and Tampa Bay's RBs should also pick up extra targets. Otton looks like a low-end TE1 for at least the next three weeks.
Baker Mayfield will be tough to trust as a starter in 1-QB fantasy leagues until he gets Evans back.
