Diontae Johnson The No. 3 WR In Baltimore?

Insider Josina Anderson hears that the Ravens plan on making Diontae Johnson the No. 3 WR behind Zay Flowers and Rashod Bateman.

What They're Saying

Anderson: "I’m told Diontae Johnson’s trade acquisition does not reflect a change in view of Zay Flowers and Rashod Bateman as the team’s current WR1 and WR2 ... I'm told Johnson was brought to Baltimore for his speed, separation and punt returning abilities."

2024 Fantasy Football Impact

Johnson can certainly change Baltimore's plans with his play. But the Ravens gave up very little to acquire him. And remember that they just gave Bateman a two-year contract extension in April.

Johnson would have almost no chance of being a reliable fantasy option if he's the No. 3 WR in terms of playing time in Baltimore. Even if he passes Bateman in the pecking order, he'll struggle for more than WR3 value.

Johnson owners might want to try shopping him this week in hopes of finding a league mate who still views him as a top-30 fantasy WR.
