Joe Burrow Hits Bye Off Third Straight 3-TD Game

Bengals QB Joe Burrow didn't appear on his way to another big game at halftime of Sunday night's loss to the Chargers. But he rebounded from a 3-sack, 111-yard, 6-point first half to deliver just that. Burrow finished with 356 yards and 3 TDs, taking no more sacks in the second half. That gives him three straight games of 3+ TD passes and eight multi-TD efforts among 11 appearances this year.

        2024 Fantasy Football Impact

Burrow heads into his Week 12 bye second among QBs in total fantasy points and third in points per game.

He posted those Sunday night numbers despite a season-worst 56% completion rate and has averaged a lackluster 7.0 yards per pass attempt over his past five games. To be fair, though, three of those came without WR Tee Higgins, who returned Sunday night from a quad injury.

Burrow will get Pittsburgh in Week 13, his toughest remaining matchup by adjusted fantasy points allowed.

You should temper expectations for that one. Burrow did struggle a bit in his last two challenging matchups, vs. Philly and Cleveland just before this three-game hot streak.

But he has fallen short of 20 fantasy points (depending on your format) just four times this year. And none of the other three has proved nearly as bad as his Week 1 vs. New England -- with Higgins out and Ja'Marr Chase just days removed from his summer holdout.

There will likely be some cases where fantasy lineups have a better Week 13 starting option than Burrow. But he'll be tough to sit for most.
