Jonathan Taylor Goes Quiet, Especially in Second Half

Colts RB Jonathan Taylor ran just 11 times for 35 yards in Sunday's loss to the Lions. He got only 1 carry in the second half, despite Indy being within 8 points at the start of the third quarter. Taylor also went without a reception for the first time since Week 1.

This also marked the fifth time in six full games shared with Richardson that Taylor has caught one pass or fewer.

Richardson hasn't been a drain on Taylor's rushing overall, as the RB has topped 100 yards three times in shared games. Taylor has also scored 4 rushing TDs in Richardson games.

But the second-year QB certainly doesn't appear to be a positive for Taylor.

Fortunately for Taylor, a much better matchup awaits next week, at New England. Every remaining matchup is also more favorable for RB scoring than Sunday's clash with the Detroit.

But a Week 14 bye and Week 16 home date with Tennessee ding Taylor's value the rest of the way.

He ultimately looks just OK for fantasy use from here on. Sunday's dud and the upcoming bye will make him tough to sell in leagues that haven't reached their trade deadlines yet.
