Logan Wilson Expected to Miss Rest of Season

The Bengals expect to miss LB Logan Wilson for the rest of the regular season after he had a "surgical cleanup" on his injured knee Thursday, according to NFL Network's Mike Garafolo. The injury dates back to before Cincinnati's Week 12 bye, first showing up on the Week 11 injury report.

        What They're Saying

HC Zac Taylor: “He came out of the bye week and thought it would feel better. And it didn’t. With a week of rest, he was really hopeful that, ‘I’ll be much better.’ Then came back that Monday, really that weekend, and it wasn’t feeling like it should. And then got to the week and didn’t get any better, last week, even with giving him time off. So, we sat him out and then this is where we’re at.”

        2024 Fantasy Football Impact

LB Akeem Davis-Gaither played 68 of 69 snaps with Wilson out last week, joining Germaine Pratt (69 snaps) as the lead duo at LB.

That's likely to continue, but don't be surprised if Cincinnati plays around with defensive packages and alignments. That Week 13 Bengals defense allowed 520 total yards and 37 offensive points to the Steelers.

        Davis-Gaither totaled 13 tackles: 4 solos and 9 assists.

It was just his eighth career game with at least 50% playing time. Five of those have found him cracking 60% playing time, and Davis-Gaither has tallied 10+ total tackles in four of those five.

He's at least a good tackle bet the rest of the way, with some coverage upside (9 career passes defensed) if he maintains playing time in passing sub packages.

Jon Bachie played 13 snaps as the only other Bengals LB to get time vs. Pittsburgh.
