Steelers WR George Pickens reportedly has a Grade 2 Hamstring strain and will likely miss next week's game against the Eagles. Pickens missed yesterday's game against the Browns as a game-time decision, but the injury appears to be more severe than describing this week.
Brooke Pryor of ESPN: "A league source told ESPN that Pickens has a grade 2 hamstring strain."
Gerry Dulac of Pittsburgh Post Gazette: "Steelers WR George Pickens has a Grade 2 hamstring injury and is likely to be out for next week's game vs. the Eagles."
Without Pickens, the Steelers receiving group was ridiculously thin with WRs Van Jefferson, Scotty Miller, Calvin Austin, Ben Skowronek, and Mike Williams all spreading some of the work and snaps.
TE Pat Freiermuth caught a TD and may have benefitted the most as a main target for QB Russell Wilson.
Pickens scored double-digit PPR points in five of his last six games, seeing a huge boost when Wilson took over as the QB for the Steelers.
Going up against one of the best overall defenses in the league in the Eagles, makes Wilson borderline unplayable without Pickens as the main target.
We will monitor Pickens' injury status and provide updates about if he will return for Week 16 against the Ravens.
