The Texans get LB Christian Harris back today for the first time this season. He's been out since training camp with a calf strain, allowing Henry To'oTo'o to play in his spot. Harris' return coincides with the first game of LB Azeez Al-Shaair's three-game suspension, though. And that leaves uncertainty around how Houston will allot LB snaps today against the Dolphins.
LB Neville Hewitt filled in when Al-Shaair missed time with a knee injury earlier this year and relayed defensive calls to the huddle. That makes him the favorite to take on those duties again. And that's why I have him projected for the most playing time among Houston LBs.
I'm guessing at some kind of playing-time split between To'oTo'o and Christian Harris, which makes neither an attractive IDP play for Week 15.
Just to reiterate, though: I'm guessing. I haven't seen any specific line from Texans coaches on how these LBs will be deployed.
