Colts RB Jonathan Taylor gave up a near TD by dropping the ball in celebration right before the goal line. The play turned into a touchback and the Colts never recovered. He ended the game with 22 carries for 107 yards and only one catc for four yards.
The loss puts Taylor and the Colts likely on the outside of the playoffs with only a few weeks to go. The team has no other real rushing option as Taylor handled 85% of the backfield touches in the game.
He is an elite talent, but this type of play may call into question how trusted he can be within the organization.
With QB Anthony Richardson having a rushing TD, but also tossing two INTs, this was a game where the Colts needed Taylor to step up in a big way.
In terms of the fantasy output, it was an okay day, but could have been much better, likely knocking a few teams out of the playoffs.
He could have a solid rest of the fantasy playoff if fantasy managers were able to win despite the lack of a TD by Taylor.
Taylor has a neutral match-up next week against the Titans followed by a positive match-up against the Giants in Week 17.
