Texans WR Tank Dell left Saturday's loss to the Chiefs after suffering a serious injury to his left knee. Dell caught a 30-yard TD pass early in the third quarter but landed in clear pain. He left the field in an ambulance with his entire leg being stabilized. HC DeMeco Ryans told reporters after the game that Dell will stay overnight in a Kansas City hospital.
We'll watch for the official diagnosis, but it was pretty clearly a season-ending injury.
With John Metchie inactive Saturday, Houston had Robert Woods and Xavier Hutchinson as the Nos. 2 and 3 WRs. That trio figures to join Nico Collins as the Texans' top four receivers the rest of the way.
Woods ran the second-most routes among Houston WRs in K.C. But he trailed Metchie in Week 15 routes.
Dell's absence also figures to help TE Dalton Schultz's target share. Schultz ranked second among Texans on Saturday in targets (8), third in catches (5), and third in receiving yards (45). He also snagged one of C.J. Stroud's two TD passes.
Schultz remained available in 44% of Yahoo leagues as of Saturday and is worth picking up where available.
It's tough to like any secondary WR as a fantasy option for a Week 17 home date with the Ravens.
A loaded supporting cast, improved QB play, and offensive continuity set the stage for Atlanta to deliver serious fantasy value in 2025.
