Olamide Zaccheaus Leads Targets for Second Straight Game

WR Olamide Zaccheaus led Washington in targets for the second straight game in Sunday night's win over the Falcons. He delivered 8 receptions for 85 yards and a TD on those 9 targets, plus a carry for 8 yards. TE Zach Ertz followed at 7 targets (6-72-2 receiving). WR Terry McLaurin managed just 1 catch on his 7 targets.

2024 Fantasy Football Impact

The past two weeks look fluky for Zaccheaus because he has run quiet for most of the season. But he has caught at least four passes this year in all five games that have sent 6+ targets his way.

Zaccheaus has tallied 70+ yards in three of those games and caught 72.9% of his targets for the season.

His recent playing-time surge has followed WR Noah Brown's season-ending injury in Week 13 (before the Week 14 bye).

Zaccheaus was a solid performer on limited opportunities and shaky-to-poor QB play across four seasons in Atlanta. He barely got any work in his lone Philly season, on a run-leaning offense that concentrated targets between its top two WRs.

Zaccheaus looks like a decent-to-good fantasy play for Week 18 at Dallas. It'll certainly help his outlook if Washington confirms it'll play to win that game.

We'll be watching for that this week. The Commanders will either be the sixth or seventh seed. It's possible they favor resting QB Jayden Daniels over chasing that specific Round 1 playoff matchup.

Dynasty Impact

Zaccheaus has managed only a pair of one-year contracts since hitting free agency after his rookie deal ran out in Atlanta. We'll see whether he can score anything better this offseason.

Short of that, Zaccheaus' landing spot will still be worth keeping an eye on.

He's worth stashing while we await that landing, if your roster's deep enough for that to make sense.

DFS Impact

Beware of chasing Zaccheaus' points from the past two weeks in your Week 18 DFS lineups.

He's bound to see higher ownership after delivering two strong outings. His DraftKings salary is also up $500 for the second straight week (to $4500), which means you'll need to get more from him for Zaccheaus to pay off.

That doesn't mean he's out of play, of course. Just think about the changes to his situation before locking him in.

McLaurin might be the better Week 18 play at his lowest salary since Week 12 ($6800) and coming off a stinker.

2025 Best Ball Impact

Zaccheaus' next contract will be worth watching even if he doesn't get multiple years. His 2024 production shows he can be worth a look as a late-round option in best ball drafts -- especially to stack with a QB you already drafted.
