Broncos in Need of TE Help

Broncos beat writer Nick Kosmider believes TE is the team’s biggest offseason need. In 2024, Denver TEs combined for a league-low 350 yards. Former Saint Adam Trautman led the group with 188 yards in 17 games. Trautman is under contract for 2025, as is TE Nate Adkins. TE Lucas Krull is an exclusive rights free agent, per Spotrac.

What They're Saying

Here’s Kosmider, via The Athletic:

“The Broncos appear to have their long-term QB in place. But the need for a mismatch-creating tight end very much remains, and Denver must fill that void this offseason. The good news? This appears to be a strong draft class at the position, even beyond likely first-round picks Tyler Warren and Colston Loveland.

NFL Media’s Daniel Jeremiah placed two other TEs in his recent top-50: LSU’s Mason Taylor and Miami’s Elijah Arroyo.

The class presents other intriguing options, like Bowling Green’s Harold Fannin and Jake Briningstool.

Dynasty Impact

Here are Denver’s current draft picks:

  • Round 1
  • Round 2
  • Round 3
  • Round 4
  • Round 6
  • Round 6
  • Round 6

If they invest in a TE at any level, they’ll command at least some fantasy attention.

Bo Nix certainly looks like a hit after year one. The Broncos also have questions in the WR room behind Courtland Sutton, who turns 30 in October.
