The Titans have agreed to a one-year, $4 million deal with WR Tyler Lockett, according to multiple reports. The contract will hold another $2 million in incentives.
2025 Fantasy Football Impact
Lockett fell way off in 2024, his age-32 season. He ranked third among Seahawks in targets, but his 74 trailed 34 behind No. 2 DK Metcalf -- despite Lockett playing two more games.
Lockett's 2.9 receptions per game also trailed Kenneth Walker III and Noah Fant. And his 2 TD catches were his fewest since 2017.
In Tennessee, Lockett finds a WR depth chart with little proven upside behind Calvin Ridley. He'll compete with Treylon Burks and Van Jefferson for opportunities -- barring a significant WR addition in the draft.
The Titans don't present exciting upside as a situation. They ranekd just 23rd in the league in pass attempts last year, 26th in total yards, and 27th in scoring. Presumed No. 1 overall QB Cam Ward adds hope ... but we'll see just how much of a stat boost he can deliver to the passing game.
Lockett also heads into his age-33 season, which makes him a weak bet for a big bounce back.
He can be a WR4 option for leagues of 14+ teams but doesn't offer much beyond that.
Other Winners & Losers
Burks probably still holds the most upside among non-Ridley WRs in Tennessee. He managed just 4 receptions over five games last year, his third season since arriving as a first-round pick in 2022. That's down from 16 and 33 catches the previous two years. And he has yet to play more than 11 games in a season.
Lockett's arrival might seem like a bad thing for Burks. But injuries and Burks himself have been his biggest hurdles. If he's healthy and motivated, there's room.
Burks carries basically no risk as a 2025 option. He'll be an end-of-draft consideration or waiver candidate to watch.
