Broncos HC Sean Payton said "so many things" about WR Pat Bryant's game remind him of WR Michael Thomas. "Very explosive off the line of scrimmage, very competitive, very tough," Payton said of Bryant, who was selected by Denver in Round 3. "His size and his hands are outstanding. He’s physical."
This is obviously a lofty (and probably unrealistic) comparison. Anything close to Thomas' career would be a massive win for Bryant and the Broncos.
But Thomas was a second-round pick after a just-ok college career. And Bryant has similar measurables:
Bryant | Thomas | |
Height | 6'2 | 6'3 |
Weight | 204 lbs. | 212 lbs. |
40 Time | 4.61 seconds | 4.57 seconds |
Vertical | 37.5" | 35" |
Courtland Sutton is a strong bet to keep No. 1 WR duties in 2025. But he's only signed through this coming season. And the depth chart is ripe for the picking behind Sutton, with WRs Marvin Mims, Troy Franklin, and Devaughn Vele.
Bryant will be worth monitoring throughout the rest of the offseason and could be a viable late-round flier in redraft leagues.
He's shaping up as a Round 2 pick in dynasty rookie drafts.
