Bills RB James Cook reported for Tuesday's minicamp session and was a full participant, according to ESPN's Alaina Gretzenberg. Cook, who's entering the final year of his rookie deal, skipped OTAs earlier this offseason as he angles for a new contract. But he told the media on Tuesday that he plans to show up for the start of training camp next month. “In order to compete for a Super Bowl and have a winning season, I have to be out there with my teammates," Cook said.
2025 Fantasy Football Impact
It looks like we can put any concerns about a Cook holdout to bed. Although he's set to hit free agency next offseason, he figures to play a similar role this year as he did last.
Cook turned in a big 2024 fantasy season, finishing 11th among RBs in PPR points per game. But he ranked just 27th in expected PPR points per game. Cook out-produced his usage by scoring 18 times on 239 touches — a rate that will be nearly impossible to match this season.
