Browns rookie TE Harold Fannin Jr. “could be primed for a large role” in 2025, per reporter Daniel Oyefusi of ESPN. Oyefusi expects the Browns to run more two-TE sets this season.
What They're Saying
Here’s an assessment from Browns TE coach Christian Jones (via ESPN).
"He's got really strong hands. "He tracks the ball well and you see it on tape every time he's been playing when you study him and we're getting ready to see what he'd be for us. The guy catches everything, tracks the ball well and really adjusts to the ball in the air."
2025 Fantasy Football Impact
Fannin will play behind David Njoku in 2025. But a thin WR corps makes it possible for the rookie to achieve some deep-league value.
Consider Cleveland’s current WR depth chart:
- Jerry Jeudy
- Cedric Tillman
- Diontae Johnson
- Jamari Thrash
Just keep expectations in check. Fannin turns only 21 next month, and his QB situation looks like one of the worst league-wide. We'll almost certainly see at least two QBs take snaps for the Browns in 2025.
Dynasty Impact
The strong start start bodes well for Fannin's future.
Realistically, he could slide into a starting role come 2026. That's when Njoku's current contract expires.
For now, Fannin occupies a top-20 spot in our dynasty PPR TE rankings.
