Browns RB Quinshon Judkins was arrested in Fort Lauderdale on Saturday and charged with battery and domestic violence. No further details are available at this point.
2025 Fantasy Football Impact
Judkins, the 36th overall pick of this spring's draft, was the favorite to step in as Cleveland's lead back right away. This arrest could obviously change that trajectory.
The NFL's domestic violence policy calls for a six-game suspension for first-time offenders. The league typically waits for the legal process to play out before handing down discipline, though, so it's unclear when a suspension for Judkins would come (if one comes at all).
We'll keep you updated on the situation, but the rookie certainly comes with elevated risk in fantasy drafts now.
Other Winners & Losers
Veteran Jerome Ford and fourth-round rookie Dylan Sampson would be the biggest beneficiaries of a Judkins suspension.
Ford averaged 9.8 carries and 4.7 targets in six full games without RB Nick Chubb last year, scoring as the RB21 in PPR points per game over that stretch. He's an explosive runner and a plus receiver.
Sampson racked up over 1,500 total yards and 22 TDs at Tennessee last year, flashing an enticing combination of speed, agility, and physicality.
Ford's experience figures to give him a leg up heading to training camp. We'll see if Sampson can make a move for playing time. Both guys are now more intriguing targets in the double-digit rounds of fantasy drafts.
