Chargers TE Oronde Gadsden was a standout in Saturday night's camp practice, according to Eric Smith of the team's official site. Gadsden made three catches from QB Justin Herbert, including a seam ball for 20+ yards and another chunk gain down the left sideline.
What They're Saying
OC Greg Roman on Gadsden after Saturday's practice: "He's doing good. He's doing a really nice job. Again, let's get in the pads, get some practices under our belt with that and see how we're doing."
2025 Fantasy Football Impact
We're still early in camp. And, as Roman alluded to, the pads haven't even come on yet.
But Gadsden impressed in spring workouts and has rolled that momentum into training camp. Most importantly, it sounds like he's already getting significant work with Herbert and the first-team offense.
The Chargers have a pair of veteran TEs for Gadsden to contend with in Will Dissly and Tyler Conklin. But neither will be an impassable roadblock if Gadsden is ready to make a year-one impact.
We'll continue to keep you updated on the rookie's progress and standing on the depth chart. For now, he's worth a look at the very end of fantasy drafts. Gadsden is TE42 in recent best-ball ADP.
