Bears TE Colston Loveland (shoulder) is “ready to go” for training camp, per GM Ryan Poles. Loveland underwent surgery in January to repair an AC joint injury in his right shoulder. Pace noted there will likely be a “ramp-up period,” so don’t be surprised if Loveland is eased in early on. Still, avoiding the PUP list is a good sign after a quiet spring for the rookie.
2025 Fantasy Football Impact
Loveland fell behind this spring but has plenty of time to catch up before Week 1.
The 10th overall pick of this year's draft is an exciting prospect. He broke out as a 19-year-old true sophomore in 2023 and left Michigan with impressive market shares and per-route efficiency marks. He ran 48% of his routes from the slot over the last two seasons and projects as a catch-first TE as a pro.
Reliable 2025 fantasy value could be tough to find though. Not only is the TE learning curve steep, but Loveland also faces stiff target competition from WRs D.J. Moore, Rome Odunze, and Luther Burden, plus fellow TE Cole Kmet.
Loveland is aggressively priced as TE12 in Underdog best ball ADP, but he's a more palatable TE16 in consensus redraft ADP.
The rookie checks in 16th in our TE rankings, with a ceiling projection that's 10th highest at the position.
