Packers Rookie WR Savion Williams missed Friday's training camp practice after suffering a concussion on Thursday. The rookie had a few standout catches on Thursday's practice while competing to move up a pretty full depth chart. The severity of the concussion is unknown, but we will monitor next week to see if he returns.
What They're Saying
Rob Demovsky of ESPN: "Packers rookie WR Savion Williams is out today because of a concussion. He had made a few nice catches the first two days."
2025 Fantasy Football Impact
Williams is unlikely to make a redraft impact this year, though his explosion and athleticism could be intriguing if given an opportunity. Missing time in camp won't help him to try and squeeze into playing time with WRs Jayden Reed, Romeo Doubs, Matthew Golden, Dontayvion Wicks all seemingly ahead of him. Not to mention Christian Watson could return from injury at some point late in the season.
But with injuries or Williams impressing in camp and the preseason, he could have some fantasy worthy performances.
Dynasty Impact
Williams has generally been an undervalued rookie in dynasty drafts after being a top-100 pick in April.
His draft capital should secure him a roster spot, and his talent could lead to upward trajectory on the depth chart throughout the season. Returning sooner rather than later would help.
Keep your eye on him moving forward
