Buccaneer TE Cade Otton missed his third practice in a row with a "mild" hamstring injury. HC Todd Bowles mentioned that he tweaked his hamstring early on in camp, but all indications are that it shouldn't linger into the regular season.
What They're Saying
Greg Auman of Fox Sports: "Bucs TE Cade Otton still not practicing tonight, same with WR Kam Johnson, S Marcus Banks. WR Trey Palmer and RB Josh Williams sidelined as well."
Aileen Hnatiuk of WFLA: "TE Cade Otton not practicing for 2 days in a row bc he is one of the players who tweaked their hamstring early on"
2025 Fantasy Football Impact
Otton posted a career-high 59 catches for 600 yards and four TDs last season, but a knee injury ended his year three games early.
He remains the clear starter, with the Bucs once again relying on Payne Durham and Ko Kieft to round out the TE room.
Tampa Bay did add WR Emeka Egbuka in Round 1 of this year’s NFL Draft, but Otton excelled last year when injuries sidelined Chris Godwin and Mike Evans.
He sits at TE22 in our PPR rankings, and even a quick return from his current hamstring injury won’t move him higher.
We will update if the hamstring injury lingers on toward the regular season.
