Packers HC Matt LaFleur said Thursday that RB MarShawn Lloyd's groin injury is not long-term. He added, though, that Lloyd will remain sidelined for the rest of this week. We don't have a timetable for his return.
2025 Fantasy Football Impact
It's relatively good news, but Lloyd still needs to prove that he can stay on an NFL field. He played just 10 snaps as a rookie last year due to hip, hamstring, and ankle injuries -- plus a November appendectomy that ultimately ended his season.
Lloyd is a big, explosive runner with pass-catching ability. And he has a path to the No. 2 RB job in Green Bay. That keeps him on the radar as a late-round flier in fantasy drafts for now. But he can't afford more injury woes.
We'll see when he gets back on the field.
