According to Gregg Bell of the Tacoma News Tribune, rookie WR Tory Horton jumped up to the first-team offense in Friday’s practice.
What They're Saying
Bell: “Tory Horton made a big jump today, to the first-team offense catching everything thrown to him. Seahawks coaches are increasingly trusting him.”
2025 Fantasy Football Impact
The No. 3 WR job in Seattle is firmly up for grabs, and it appears the rookie is making the most of his opportunity. He’s earning first-team reps and, as noted by Bell, has already gained the trust of the Seahawks’ coaching staff.
Horton only played five games in college last year, but his transfer to Colorado State sparked an immediate breakout. From 2022 to 2023, Horton averaged 83.5 catches, nearly 1,200 yards, and eight TDs, while commanding a 31% target share. He mostly played on the perimeter, which is notable considering the Seahawks’ addition of WR Cooper Kupp this offseason.
If Horton can beat out Marquez Valdes-Scantling and others for the No. 3 WR job, he’d become a deep fantasy sleeper. We’ll continue to keep an eye on the situation and adjust the rankings accordingly.
