Giants HC Brian Daboll has been impressed by the growth RB Tyrone Tracy has made from his 2024 rookie season. "Tracy has made strides from last year," Daboll said, highlighting the second-year RB's run reads, route running, and blitz pickup. RB Cameron Skattebo, meanwhile, remains sidelined with an undisclosed injury.
What They're Saying
Daboll on Tracy: "There’s usually a big jump from Year 1 to Year 2. Time will tell when we’re on the field and the games count. But his preparation habits, his professionalism, understanding what he needs to do out there — blitz pickup, run reads, route technique — he’s improved."
2025 Fantasy Football Impact
Tracy earned enough work to be a fantasy factor last year, but he sagged in most advanced metrics. He ranked 33rd or worse among 47 qualifying RBs in rush yards over expected per attempt, yards after contact per attempt, and Pro Football Focus rushing grade. He also ranked 35th among 37 qualifiers in PFF receiving grade.
We should expect Tracy to be better in 2025, though. Beyond the fact that he's a 25-year-old, second-year player, Tracy also spent most of his college career playing WR.
He faces tougher competition for snaps in 2025. But the longer Skattebo remains sidelined, the better Tracy looks as a target at his RB30 ADP.
