Bears RB Roschon Johnson did not participate in Thursday’s practice with a foot injury, according to Brad Biggs of The Chicago Tribune.
What They're Saying
Biggs: “Bears RB Roschon Johnson, who met with reporters after Tuesday’s practice, was held out today with a foot injury.”
2025 Fantasy Football Impact
Let’s hope this isn’t anything serious, as Johnson appears to be the favorite to handle the goal line role in HC Ben Johnson’s offense. Johnson already tied with RB D’Andre Swift for the team lead in carries from inside the five-yard line last season (8), so as long as he’s healthy, he’s a candidate to lead that department outright in 2025.
If he is forced to miss practice time, or even Sunday’s preseason game against Miami, rookie RB Kyle Monangai would be in line for more reps and opportunities. The seventh-rounder from Rutgers has reportedly made a strong impression on Chicago’s coaching staff thus far.
