Dolphins RB Jaylen Wright got goal-line work with the first team in the preseason game against the Bears. After a six-yard run to the 2-yard line, he was stopped on three straight carries. A potential sleeper this season, it was a disappointing showing, though he later scored a seven-yard TD with the second team.
What They're Saying
Omar Kelly of the Miami Herald: "So we got four straight runs inside the 5-yard line by the Dolphins and the final resulted in a 3-yard loss by Jaylen Wright. Turnover on downs.
At least they are working on it."

Wright’s overall game depends on the eye of the beholder.
He had an impressive 6-yard run from the 8, setting up the Dolphins on the 2-yard line, showing power and a lower pad level to plow through traffic.
Then he got three straight goal-line carries that ended in a turnover on downs.
The blocking was poor on all three runs, but Wright failed to keep his balance through contact each time.
On the flip side, his second-quarter TD was impressive, showcasing burst through the line and breaking arm tackles on the way to the end zone.
Overall, it’s encouraging to see Wright getting a role with the first-team offense, but the sequence won’t inspire confidence in taking De’Von Achane off the field.
