Cowboys’ RB Miles Sanders, who had been sidelined with a knee issue, returned to practice on Tuesday, according to Todd Archer of ESPN.

Archer: “Miles Sanders in full pads. Jaydon Blue is still out.”

Sanders missed time with a bruise, but he returned to practice in full capacity on Tuesday. And as Archer points out, rookie RB Jaydon Blue, who left last Thursday’s practice with an ankle injury, remained sidelined.
All three Dallas RBs have earned first-team reps throughout training camp, though no one has definitively claimed the starting job. RB Javonte Williams has seen the most playing time with the first-team offense, though that’s likely a product of Sanders and Blue being unavailable rather than a ringing endorsement of the former Denver RB. Sanders will push for the RB1 job in Dallas, one that RB Rico Dowdle took advantage of a season ago. When the Cowboys finally leaned on one player last year, Dowdle didn’t look back, averaging 19.9 touches per game from Week 9 on, the ninth-most in football.
Of course, the fear is that no one emerges as the clear lead, resulting in a full-blown committee, rendering all three RBs irrelevant in fantasy. Williams ranks highest at RB39, but if you are investing in this backfield, it might be wise to simply select whoever goes latest in drafts.
