Dolphins HC Mike McDaniel revealed Saturday that RB De'Von Achane is dealing with a "soft-tissue lower-body injury," according to NFL Network's Cameron Wolfe. McDaniel said the injury will sideline Achane "between 'days and weeks,'" according to the report. McDaniel says he's not worried about Achane being ready for the regular-season opener.
That last part's key. Although we're getting closer to the start of the season, there's still time for recovering from a minor enough injury.
We'll obviously keep tracking Achane's situation to assure that he'll be ready for the season. If his outlook changes and he does miss time, Jaylen Wright would likely elevate to the top role. Ollie Gordon and Mike Boone look like the next guys up behind him.
For now, we're not adjusting Achane's projection. But have the issue in mind if you're breaking a Round 2 tie on draft day.
