Chiefs’ WR Marquise Brown returned to practice on Sunday and was participating again on Monday, according to Chiefs' senior team reporter Matt McMullen.
What They're Saying
McMullen: “Hollywood Brown returned to practice yesterday and will practice again today, per Coach Reid.”
2025 Fantasy Football Impact
A foot/ankle injury has kept Hollywood out of action since late July, but the speedster returned to practice over the weekend and was back out there again on Monday. That puts him firmly on track to be ready for Week 1.
The Chiefs plan on playing their starters in some capacity during Friday’s preseason finale, but HC Andy Reid mentioned that they don’t want any setbacks when it comes to Brown. With that being said, it wouldn’t surprise us to see Hollywood sit out the preseason finale, but it appears he’ll be fine for the regular season opener.
His fantasy value, however, hinges largely on the status of WR Rashee Rice. We know Rice will be suspended this season, but for how long and when remain key questions. In his two regular season appearances last season, Brown averaged 7.5 targets per game. There will be plenty of games where he is operating as QB Patrick Mahomes’ WR2, making him very fantasy relevant.
