Bills WR Khalil Shakir remains sidelined with the high-ankle sprain he suffered on August 2. HC Sean McDermott said Tuesday that Shakir has avoided setbacks in his rehab and suggested that he's nearing a return.
What They're Saying
McDermott on Shakir: "No change to his schedule. The goal is to get him back as soon as possible, whether that’s the end of this week, beginning of next, somewhere next week, remains to be seen."

McDermott said on August 7 that Shakir was expected to be available for Week 1. It sounds like he's still on track, although getting back on the practice field next week will be important. Buffalo's opener is 18 days away.
Shakir will be a risky Week 1 fantasy start coming off the high-ankle sprain. But he should be settled back in as a WR3/4 by the end of September.
He's popping as a value pick at his ninth-round ADP.
