Saints’ QBs Spencer Rattler and Tyler Shough will both suit up in New Orleans’ final preseason game against the Broncos, according to Mike Triplett of New Orleans Football.
What They're Saying
Triplett: “Kellen Moore said that quarterbacks Spencer Rattler and Tyler Shough will both play in the Saints’ preseason finale against Denver.”
2025 Fantasy Football Impact
The Saints are the lone team yet to announce a starting QB, and it appears their final preseason game could determine who is under center Week 1.
Rattler and Shough have each started a preseason game, both offering modest results. First-team practice reps have been given to both QBs, including this week. Rattler has at least some experience, starting six games last season, completing 57% of passes for 1,317 yards and four TDs. Shough, meanwhile, is a 26-year-old rookie QB who will take shots down the field.
It is extremely unlikely any Saints’ QB becomes fantasy relevant outside of deep superflex leagues. The focus, however, is on how WRs Chris Olave and Rashid Shaheed are impacted by whoever becomes the Saints’ signal caller.
