Former Kansas City WR Skyy Moore has been traded to the San Francisco 49ers, according to Adam Schefter of ESPN.
2025 Fantasy Football Impact
Not long after Jacob Cowing aggravated his hamstring and Demarcus Robinson was suspended, the 49ers made a move. San Francisco’s depth at the WR position has been seriously tested this preseason, with Brandon Aiyuk, Jauan Jennings, Jacob Cowing and Jordan Watkins all dealing with injuries.
The dynasty fantasy football community was over the moon for the man named Skyy once the Chiefs selected him in the second round of the 2022 NFL Draft, but he had trouble landing. In three seasons in Kansas City, Moore caught just 43 passes for 494 yards and one TD. During that stretch, Moore logged just 26% of the offensive snaps, mostly used on special teams and as a gadget player.
Perhaps a new home can help Moore find some sustained success, or at the very least, playing time. At the moment, he’ll have every opportunity to find the field, as San Francisco’s WR room is depleted. Moore is unlikely to emerge as a starting fantasy option, especially when Aiyuk, Jennings and Ricky Pearsall are healthy, but perhaps a change of scenery could represent one final audition in dynasty leagues.
