Jaguars WR/CB Travis Hunter missed today’s joint practice with the Dolphins due to an upper-body injury according to ESPN's Adam Schefter. Hunter will also miss the Jaguars third preseason game. HC Liam Coen said he considered letting Hunter practice, but didn’t want to risk reaggrevating the injury.
What They're Saying
Adam Schefter of ESPN: “Jaguars WR/CB Travis Hunter was held out of Thursday’s joint practice with the Miami Dolphins because of an upper-body injury, and the No. 2 draft pick isn’t going to play in the Jaguars’ preseason finale Saturday night, either.”
HC Liam Coen: "It was more just do we want him now or potentially not against Carolina. It was more just being smart about the next few weeks because the ultimate goal is Carolina. Could he have probably gone? I think so. If this was Carolina, would he have probably played? Yeah, so we're moving in the right direction."

This appears to be another “precautionary” injuries, but it will be worth following up on to see if Hunter appears on the Week 1 injury report with this injury.
The Jaguars certainly could shut Hunter down for the rest of the preseason at this point, especially with Coen’s comments about geting him ready for the Panthers.
We will keep you posted if more news breaks about Hunter’s injury, but for now, he won’t be moving in our WR rankings at all.
Currently, he ranks 30th in our PPR WR Rankings
