Free Agent WR Amari Cooper signed a one-year deal with the Las Vegas Raiders, according to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network.
2025 Fantasy Football Impact
Cooper returns to the franchise that drafted him back in 2015.
The timing raises eyebrows considering WR Jakobi Meyers just recently requested a trade. Cooper spent the second half of last season with the Buffalo Bills in a rather forgetful stint, hampered by limited usage. He ran a route on just over 53% of dropbacks in Buffalo’s run-first offense, but when given opportunities, Cooper did show some flashes.
Whether Cooper returns to fantasy relevance hinges on the status of Meyers. If a trade does happen, Cooper would have a pretty clear path to targets from QB Geno Smith. If not, Cooper can safely be avoided in fantasy drafts, while his presence could limit the potential of rookie WRs Jack Bech and Dont’e Thornton.
