The Lions are trading WR Tim Patrick to the Jaguars, according to NFL Network's Tom Pelissero. Detroit is getting a 2026 sixth-round pick in return. Patrick caught just 33 balls for 394 yards and three scores for the Lions last year, after missing the previous two seasons with ACL (2022) and Achilles (2023) injuries.
2025 Fantasy Football Impact
Patrick figures to slot in as the fourth or fifth WR in Jacksonville, behind Brian Thomas Jr., Travis Hunter, Dyami Brown, and potentially Parker Washington. He remains off the fantasy radar.
The bigger story here is Lions WR Isaac TeSlaa, who now has a clear path to the No. 3 job in Detroit. Patrick resided there for most of last season but averaged just 2.8 targets per game. TeSlaa could command a little more volume but won't be a fantasy option out of the gate.
An injury to WR Amon-Ra St. Brown, WR Jameson Williams, or even TE Sam LaPorta could change that, though. TeSlaa looked excellent this preseason, catching 10 of 13 targets for 146 yards and three TDs.
The rookie is worth stashing in fantasy leagues with 18+ roster spots.
