ESPN's Adam Schefter indicated that Dolphins RB De'Von Achane (calf) returned to practice Monday and is expected to play in the team's season opener in Indianapolis, barring any setbacks.
2025 Fantasy Football Impact
This is good news for fantasy managers who invested an early pick on Achane.
The third-year RB has missed more than a week of practice as he dealt with a calf injury. Soft-tissue injuries are always a concern, particularly for explosive runners like Achane.
Returning to practice early on is a good sign that HC Mike McDaniel is comfortable that Achane is unlikely to re-aggravate the injury.
As long as there are no issues this week, fantasy managers should feel confident starting Achane against an Indianapolis defense that allowed the 11th-most fantasy points per game to opposing running backs last season.
