Titans OC Nick Holz noted Tuesday that RB Tony Pollard "wore down a little bit" last year. "We gotta get Julius Chestnut and Kalel Mullings ready to take some of the workload off of Tony this week," Holz added.
It's true that Pollard wore down late last season, but we're filing this one under "believe it when we see it."
Pollard should get plenty of touches in Week 1. The much bigger concern is the matchup in Denver against a stout Broncos defense. The Titans are implied for a week-low 17.25 points.
Don't expect a ceiling outing from Pollard in this spot. But he's a fine volume-based RB2 starter in Week 1 fantasy lineups.
