The Detroit Lions have come to terms with WR Jameson Williams on a 3-year deal worth up to $83 million. Williams was entering the fourth year of his rookie deal, but earned an extension after posting his first 1000-yard campaign in 2024. The Lions now have both Williams and Amon-Ra St. Brown locked up through the 2028 season.
$67 million of this deal is guaranteed for Williams, who is just 24.
The deal locks up one of the NFL's tops WR tandems and gets the Lions out in front of dealing with potential franchise tag drama.

The extension keeps Williams happy and may end up saving the Lions longterm, rather than let other teams compete on the open market.
Under new OC John Morton, Williams is expected to be featured more, which makes him a candidate to compete for top-20 numbers.
