NFL Network reports that the Giants have a "package of plays" ready for QB Jaxson Dart in today's game vs. the Commanders. QB Russell Wilson will start, but Dart will be active as the No. 2 QB, ahead of Jameis Winston.
What They're Saying
NFL Network: "There's no guarantee head coach Brian Daboll and offensive coordinator Mike Kafka will employ the plays for Dart, who completed 32 of 47 passes for 372 yards, three touchdowns and zero interceptions in the preseason. Much will depend on game flow, situational strategy and how starter Russell Wilson performs in his first game as the Giants' starter.
2025 Fantasy Football Impact
We'll see how this one shakes out today. Losing snaps obviously wouldn't be good news for Wilson, but hopefully you weren't planning on using him in fantasy lineups.
Dart getting any snaps in the opener would give a chance to continue the momentum he built this preseason, when he looked even more NFL-ready than we expected.
The rookie is a good bet to take over for the Giants at some point this season and is worth stashing in deeper 2-QB and superflex leagues.
