Steelers QB Aaron Rodgers turned back the clock, completing 22 of 30 passes for 244 yards and 4 TDs in the Steelers’ win over the Jets. His arm showed fresh velocity reminiscent of his Packers days. He connected with seven different receivers, spreading the ball to the open man. The performance gives him streaming upside in favorable matchups.
2025 Fantasy Football Impact
The Steelers posted a 63% pass rate, far above OC Arthur Smith’s 50.7% mark last season. The defense allowing 32 points played a role, but Rodgers likely pushed for the shift. Last year, the Jets completed 67.5% of their passes, fourth best in the league. Pittsburgh won’t reach that mark, but Smith isn’t likely to return to a 50/50 split with Rodgers playing this well.
Rodgers should be an intriguing streaming option with upcoming matchups against the Seahawks and Patriots. Both allowed over 275 passing yards in Week 1.
WRs DK Metcalf and Calvin Austin III were Rodgers’ favorite targets, each playing 45+ snaps. No other Steelers WR played more than 10.
