Lions RB Jahmyr Gibbs disappointed on the ground with nine carries for 19 yards. In PPR leagues, he salvaged the day by catching all 10 of his targets for 31 yards. Even so, it was a poor showing for the Lions’ rushing attack.

Gibbs outsnapped David Montgomery 44 to 25, but Montgomery led with 11 carries. Gibbs was used more as a receiver, running 28 routes to Montgomery’s 14. His 65.7% snap share was up from 52% last year, showing an expanded role.
That usage won’t matter if the Lions’ offense continues to stall. They managed just 13 points against the Packers, fewer than in any game last season. Gibbs’ workload suggests he could thrive with early leads that let Detroit lean on the run. With the Bears and Ravens up next, that may not happen.
Gibbs remains a must-start, but Montgomery’s usage keeps him in the mix as a situational option.
