Bears WR Rome Odunze racked up a 7-128-2 receiving line in Sunday's loss to the Lions. His 11 targets beat his nearest teammate by five. Odunze also accounted for 54.7% of the team's receiving yards and caught the only two TD passes. D.J. Moore ranked second on team in targets (6), receptions (5), and receiving yards (46). Olamide Zaccheaus finished second with five targets but managed just 2 catches. D'Andre Swift was the only other Bear to reach 3 receptions.
2025 Fantasy Football Impact
Odunze's receiving lead in the opener was a bit less obvious, but he also led all Bears with nine targets and 6 receptions in that contest. No other Chicago player has caught a TD pass so far this season.
This is just the second season for a guy who got drafted ninth overall last season. And it's his first year under HC Ben Johnson.
It's certainly possible Odunze doesn't remain the target leader, but there's no reason to treat this start as a fluke. He's clearly at least a focal point of the pass offense and looks like a weekly fantasy starter until/unless something changes.
Matchups with the Cowboys and Raiders the next two weeks look plenty attractive. Then comes a Week 5 bye.
Other Winners & Losers
Moore sits as a bit of a loser through two games, especially because QB Caleb Williams has thrown for just 210 and 207 yards.
The Chicago passing game will need to improve significantly to support meaningful fantasy value in more than one pass catcher.
