Week 2 found Titans RB Tony Pollard garnering an even larger work share than he got in the opener. Pollard handled all 20 of the team's RB rushing attempts in the loss to the Rams, tallying 92 yards. Pollard went catchless on just one target but also ran 33 routes vs. five for No. 2 RB Julius Chestnut. That route total ranked Pollard second on the team behind only Calvin Ridley, according to Pro Football Focus.
2025 Fantasy Football Impact
Week 1 found Pollard carrying 18 times to Chestnut's two. HC Brian Callahan clearly realized that was a mistake.
Pollard's clearly set to remain the Tennessee workhorse at least until Tyjae Spears returns. And even at that point, we'll need to see Spears siphon a meaningful amount of work before fearing his effect on Pollard's fantasy value.
The biggest current question here might be whether QB Cam Ward is capable of checking down.
A RB running the team's second-most pass routes in a game his team lost by two TDs should see at least a decent number of targets. Pollard has two total targets through two losses.
We'll see whether Tennessee does anything to get the ball to Pollard more in the passing game, but it doesn't look like we should expect much from him in that area.
The Titans get a favorable schedule leading up to their Week 10 bye, with a Week 4 visit to Houston looking like the toughest spot.
