Titans rookie WR Elic Ayomanor caught his first career TD pass in Sunday's loss to the Rams. That 9-yard TD capped a 4-56-1 receiving line on six targets. Ayomanor tied Chig Okonkwo and Calvin Ridley for the team lead in that category.
Ayomanor's 28 routes in Sunday's game constituted a mere 68.3% share of the team's dropbacks, according to Pro Football Focus. But the only guys who beat him in that category were:
Tyler Lockett fell further behind Ayomanor than his Week 1 position, and rookie Chimere Dike moved much closer to Lockett's route count against the Rams.
Ayomanor will need Cam Ward to deliver much more passing production to support his fantasy usefulness. Ward tallied just 175 passing yards Sunday after throwing for 112 in the opener.
But the fourth-round rookie's quick ascension to the No. 2 WR role stands as a clear win.
