Eagles WR A.J. Brown followed his one-target opener with better usage in Sunday's win over the Chiefs. Brown drew a team-high eight targets, accounting for 36.4% of Jalen Hurts' total pass attempts. Brown caught five of those but tallied only 27 yards.
What They're Saying
Brown drew seven of his eight targets for the game in the first half. That signals two things:
- Philly's passing game struggled in the second half of a game that stayed close.
- Brown could've seen quite a bit more work if the pass offense had fared better in the second half.
A week after throwing the ball away from Brown and DeVonta Smith, Hurts targeted one of them on 63.6% of his attempts vs. Kansas City.
We're still waiting for Brown to bounce back in performance and production, though. A Week 3 home date with the Rams brings a tough pass rush to town. After that comes a trip to Tampa Bay and a likely softer defense on whole.
