Javonte Williams Dominates Backfield Workload Including Through the Air

Cowboys RB Javonte Williams rushed for 97 yards and a TD on 18 carries while also adding six receptions for 33 yards in the Cowboys’ win against the Giants. He handled 77.4% of the backfield touches, giving him a strong case to be included in fantasy lineups going forward.

2025 Fantasy Football Impact

Williams had 15 rushes for 54 yards and two TDs in Week 1, though he only caught two passes for 10 yards. The explosion as a receiver makes Williams an easier start in PPR leagues moving forward. If he continues at a 1.5 TD per game pace, that would help too.

Next week, the Cowboys draw the Bears who are giving up two rushing TDs this week to the Detroit Lions.

Williams should have TD opportunities next week.
