WR Marquise Brown led the Chiefs in receptions for the second straight game Sunday but managed only 5 receptions for 30 yards in the loss to the Eagles. His five targets tied WR Tyquan Thornton and TE Noah Gray for second on the team, one behind TE Travis Kelce. Brown also matched Thornton in total snaps (45) and pass routes (30), each running one more route than third WR JuJu Smith-Schuster.

Brown's averaging just 8.6 yards per catch through two games after Sunday's 6.0 in that category. He's a lackluster fit for the shorter-range role brought on by Rashee Rice's suspension and Xavier Worthy's shoulder injury.
Worthy seems likely to return for Week 3 after putting in limited practices Thursday and Friday. That could help return Brown to a double-digit average depth of target. He entered this season with a 12.3-yard career aDOT and no season shorter than 10.8 but has gone significantly shorter through two weeks of this year.
Thornton managed just two catches against Philly, most notably snagging a 49-yard TD late in the fourth quarter after being allowed to run freely down the field.
Kelce caught four of his six targets for a team-high 61 yards against Philly. No other Chief caught more than one pass.
Brown and the rest of the group should get their most favorable matchup so far in a Week 3 visit to the Giants. New York allowed each of its first two opponents to go over 430 total yards.
